MerchandiserCrossmark Australia Jun 2022 - Jan 2023AustraliaIn this role I was allocated an area of the Gold Coast close to home where I worked either autonomously or lead a small team specialising in conducting Relays/Planograms for 2 major Grocery Companies. This role entailed building strong management relationships by way of providing a professional but friendly attitude and trust that the job would be completed in a timely and proficient manner. The ability to follow a planogram was paramount and problem solve any discrepancies that could occur during implementation of the planogram was crucial to achieving a successful outcome. As a Team Leader I required excellent communication skills when planning upcoming jobs via messages or phone calls to other team members regarding their availability for the task/s ahead, be able to adjust that weeks jobs to suit all involved (including the stores). Being a team leader I was always mindful at making sure that my team were well advised & for them to know that I was there for them. Having a happy team meant the job got done properly. -
Assistant In Nursing/Personal CarerCaring For You Nursing Agency Jul 2021 - Sep 2022AustraliaI really enjoyed working in Aged Care as it satisfied my caring nature. The diversity of the role and being able to adapt quickly to new surroundings, due to the many different aged care facilities I went to, was a great challenge. During my shifts I excelled at building trust with the residents and making them smile and knowing they appreciated everything I helped them with was very satisfying. It takes a lot of courage to be able to go to be facilities where you've never been before, you have new staff, new residents, new procedures etc etc but I believe that I always handled this with the utmost professionalism and grace. My attitude was to always make sure the residents were happy and their requirements were met with care and respect. I made sure they were totally fine before heading off to the next resident, unless there was an emergency where all hands were required immediately, but I always went back to the resident if I hadn't finished to make sure everything was good. One of my favourite areas was lifestyle. I was lucky to get a short term contract with a facility where I was part of the lifestyle team. In this role I was to engage with the residents in easy exercise/stretching and co ordination classes, ball games plus help dementia residents with art classes and simple memory games. Other tasks included setting up for singalongs, happy hours, pamper days, men's groups and other assorted activities for that day. -

Front Reception Manager (Weekend)Surfers International Apartments Feb 2019 - Mar 2020AustraliaLoved this position as it was a great mix of customer service, administration and problem solving. I had to learn this role very quickly as I was working autonomously. However in saying that, there was a Building Manager always floating around for any building/maintenance issues that could arise and needing immediate action. In this role I was to greet arriving and departing guests, by way of checking them in/out, changing rooms if necessary, allowing possible new guests to view a room, handle simple maintenance, report to Operation or Maintenance Management of issues outside my capabilities, problem solve, answer constant incoming calls, respond to emails, ensure all room bookings were up to date and entered. This was a multifaceted position that required professionalism, respect and natural friendliness. I thoroughly enjoyed this position but sadly covid lockdown brought an end to this position. -
