-Provide public health technical assistance to the CDC related to chronic disease prevention, health equity, community health, and policy, systems, and environmental improvements-Analyze programs and plans for 5 Division of Community Health (DCH) funded awardees to develop work plans related to implementation of policy, systems, and environmental approaches to improve chronic disease outcomes-Conduct assessments, reviews, and negotiate corrective actions as needed as support for DCH funded awardees-Provide advisory services to agencies and national organizations in developing, extending, and/or improving public health strategies, communications and services-Provide substantive program advice and assistance to funded awardees and partners and is responsible for carrying out significant program activities in Federal settings and facilitating implementation of program activities in national, state, and local settings-Serve as liaison responsible for coordinating public health related matters between and among Federal, national, and local agencies addressing public health issues-Support development of national technical assistance plan for communication, dissemination, and awareness of policy, systems, and environmental approaches to improve chronic disease outcomes-Coordinate completion of 127-page resource on advancing health equity in selection, design and implementation of policy, systems, and environmental improvements related to public health foundational skills and tobacco-free living, active living, and healthy food and beverage strategies-Provide technical assistance on developing strategies and design programs to address behavioral aspects of public health issues -Serve as project lead for dissemination and evaluation efforts for the DCH resource, A Practitioner’s Guide to Advancing Health Equity: Community Strategies for Preventing Chronic Disease-Plan, implement, and evaluate health equity trainings for DCH staff and other CDC staff

-Developed evaluation tools for Youth Health Conference to assess satisfaction, increased awareness, and effectiveness -Facilitated team of 50 partners in community health improvement strategic planning process to develop and implement action plan to address health equity in Knox County-Wrote and edited two grants - $9,960 (unfunded) and $5,000 (funded)-Conducted health education presentations in various settings on public health topics-Led development, as asthma subject matter expert, of standardized asthma education module, for approximately 5000 Knox County Schools teachers and staff-Planned, implemented, and evaluated basic and intermediate level courses for approximately 100 KCHD staff -Facilitated Knox County Youth Health Board to collaborate with 25 high school students to gain insight from youth to utilize in planning and implementing public health programs targeting youth and coordinate the completion of community service projects by Youth Health Board members by developing health education print materials, reviewing existing data on nutrition, and assigning roles to members for each service project-Collected data within two census tracts in Knoxville, TN and analyzed utility of tool for Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER) as team lead during 2-day emergency preparedness exercise through administration of survey to approximately 200 community residents-Conducted timing study collecting data for 55 participants to assess time required for completion and evaluation of forms and dispensing of medication as part of emergency preparedness closed point-of-dispensing (POD) exercise in health facility to support larger regional exercise of procedures for activation of the Strategic National Stockpile in the event of anthrax release
