An experienced and self-motivated individual; with over 25 years experience of engaging with schools/employers in the Wrexham/Flintshire area. As a Business Engagement Adviser I am always exploring ways of attracting greater employer support for Careers Wales to support education business link delivery. Employer engagement is a vital dimension and integral part of effective education and development of young people in a rapidly changing curriculum and global economy.My role is to facilitate activities and partnerships between Wrexham schools and employers to bridge the gap between education and employment. I work with employers who use their skills, knowledge, and expertise to support schools and teachers, enhancing pupils’ understanding of the world of work by taking part in a wide range of activities.Our aim is to help young people to gain an understanding of different key employment sectors in North Wales by providing connections to a wide range of employers these interventions are designed to inform, inspire and motivate young people so that they can make informed post-16 choices.
