I facilitate activities and partnerships between Wrexham schools and employers to bridge the gap between education and employment. I work with employers who use their skills, knowledge, and expertise to support schools and teachers, enhancing pupils’ understanding of the world of work by taking part in a wide range of activities. The aim is to improve young people’s awareness of the world of work, the opportunities that exist both regionally and nationally and their understanding of what employers are looking for. Contact with employers often increases young people’s motivation and encourages them to consider their future. It also has significant benefits for the organisations involved.Without the skills and enthusiasm of employers our programmes with schools would not be where it is today! Show less
