Careers Coordinator and Adviser at St. Leonard’s Catholic school in Durham. I provided CEIAG for all students including sixth form. I coordinated work experience and arrange mock interviews for students by liaising with local business partners and as a result, developing strong links and relationships. I organised careers events for years 9-13, currently virtual, and offer individual guidance interviews when requested. I delivered group work sessions to students where appropriate and also attended transitional reviews for SEND students. I researched developed and delivered CEIAG activities for students from year 8 onwards and I worked closely with students in years 11-13.

I offer careers education information advice and guidance to young people ranging from the ages of 13-19 (25years if they have special needs). I am linked to a local Secondary school with sixth form where I offer one to one guidance, group work sessions, workshops, parents evening support and I present at assemblies and parents evenings. I am also responsible for a caseload of unemployed young people covering a geographical ward . I support our other local offices on a duty rota supoprting young people on a drop in basis. I develop research and deliver my own resources when delivering group work and assemblies. I am confident at public speaking and have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly outgoing personality.

I worked in the Fire Prevention Department, responsible for issuing and annually renewing petroleum licenses to the whole of Hertfordshire, this included major clients such as Shell at Buncefield. I was repsonsible for organising the local round of the Fire Prevention Youth Quiz and also for organising the Fire Brigade seminars. This involved companies such as Glaxo and SKF sending representatives to be trained in the use of fire equipment and all aspects of fire prevention.
