I concentrated on selling mortgage broking businesses, such as Mortgage Choice, and selling financial planning businesses. The sales prices I achieved with these were well above industry standard.BCI has been established for over 30 years and is well known as a professional business brokerage based in Sydney. The Managing Director, Tony Arena, supported me in obtaining my business broking licence and together we sold many franchises and other professional businesses.

My role at Expense Reduction Analysts involved franchise recruitment around Australia and the Asia Pacific. The role of Network Development Manager is to take the potential from the first enquiry right through to their decision to join ERA as a consulting franchisee. It is important that ERA recruits the best consulting franchisees to grow the network in Australia and across the Asia Pacific. In August 2017, we launched ERA into Singapore. Managing Director David Rounsevell and myself had meetings with a number of potential franchisees and Government officials who were very interested in having a brand such as ERA in Singapore.

I was the Franchise Recruitment Manager for Mortgage Choice working at a national level. My role included selling established franchised businesses and recruiting new franchisees to the network. Mortgage Choice has been a leader in mortgage broking since 1993, and my role there included:• Sourcing potential franchisees to join Mortgage Choice • Listing and building sales profiles for franchisees wanting to sell existing businesses• Determining budgets for advertising and other relevant areas for recruitment of franchisees• Training support staff to assist incoming franchisees• Running seminars and working on lead strategies to attract prospective franchisees• Managing the relationship with potential franchisees through the sales processMy role with Mortgage Choice was based heavily on sales targets. I achieved these targets every year with both new franchises (to build the network) and by selling existing businesses.

In 2003, I was appointed National Franchise Relationship Manager, reporting to the National Acquisition Manager, and my primary responsibility was to build the franchise network.
