Lesley was pivotal in FanDuel becoming the first billion dollar sports startup since ESPN. As a core member of the FanDuel executive team, she set the strategy and scaled the company to employing over 400 staff across 5 locations. She focused on creating and implementing an aggressive analytical marketing strategy and efficiently scaled FanDuel’s marketing spend across both online and offline channels from zero to $300m annually. She built FanDuel from a concept to a household brand name with 80%+ brand awareness in the target demographic in 6 years, growing the user base to 3 million active paying players. She also hand built a high-performing marketing team of approx. 50 people across multiple geographies.

Grew user-base from zero to 100,000 in a year using social media, PR and optimizing SEO traffic; built and managed a community of deeply engaged users to moderate user-generated content.

While on maternity leave, took on a volunteer position as editor for the Clapham & District edition of the National Childbirth Trust monthly magazine. Completely revamped the branding and the content, sourced new content providers and advertisers and streamlined processes.

Developed and executed change management strategy and new process design across public and private sectors. Clients included Abbey National, the UK Government, General Motors.
