The office supports decisions made by New Jersey residents and businesses by providing reliable, timely, accessible research and data tools. Design human-centered labor market and economic research solutions using cutting edge digital tools. Research on emerging issues confronting New Jersey, including digitalization of work, globalization, and protections and benefits for people in alternative work arrangements.

Founding director of one of the nation’s first research services of its kind informing strategic planning and day-to-day decision making in the New York City public workforce system. Stakeholder audiences include executive agency officials and staff, one-stop workforce development centers, education and training providers, academic scholars, and advocates.

• Directed the “Abbott Indicators Project,” an effort to inform and engage local and state-level stakeholders in improving implementation of court-ordered remedies under Abbott v. Burke, * Oversaw commissioned research to inform the urban school finance and reform policy discussion* Authored and co-authored original research reports* Provided internal research support for litigation * Oversaw the development and maintenance SQL-based relational data management system * Participated in state-level public sector workgroups and committees.* Co-convened Our Children/Our Schools, a network of university, organizing, taxpayer, advocacy, and civil rights groups* Presented and facilitated educational forums, in local, state, and national venues.

* Conducted “communities of interest” analysis for the New York City Council Redistricting Commission.* Assisted in the development of socioeconomic profiles of racial and ethnic subgroups in the New York City metropolitan region for the CUNY Center for the Study of Philanthropy. * Developed system of enumerating New York City public school students living in federal public housing and children of federal employees for the New York City Department of Education’s yearly application for Federal Impact Aid. * Developed and refined data sets, including geocoded census of government-assisted housing units in New York City.
