In 2022, I joined the Intermountain Bird Observatory as a Research Biologist, leading projects that inform conservation strategies for petitioned and listed endangered avian species in Idaho and Utah. Current focal species include the Pinyon Jay, western Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Clark's Nutcracker, and ten woodpecker species. I serve as support staff for the installation and maintenance of MOTUS stations in Idaho. IBO collaborates with researchers, agencies, and other NGOs to address critical conservation challenges. I serve on the Pinyon Jay Working Group as a member of the Steering Committee and Implementation Team and as the co-chair of the ARU Subcommittee. I am also an active member of the Idaho Bird Conservation Partnership, Partners in Flight Western Working Group, and the Yellow-billed Cuckoo Working Group. Extensive research experience in North America encompassing diverse taxa such as Kemp's Ridley sea turtles (Cape Cod Bay), Jemez and Sacramento Mountain salamanders (New Mexico), migratory bird stopover ecology (Lower Tensaw River Delta, Alabama), and wintering seaduck resource use (Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island). This has fostered expertise in applying minimally invasive in-situ research methods with novel remote sensing technologies to address critical conservation challenges facing rare, endangered, and threatened species.
