Chief Compliance Officer (Cco)
CurrentResponsible for managing Binance.US's Compliance Program during the ongoing evolution of the digital asset industry, blockchain and AI-based technologies, and associated regulatory landscapes. This involves:• Participating member of the Binance.US Management team, which is dedicated to offering market-leading products that leverage next generation technologies while also building trust and accountability with consumers and state/federal regulators through transparency and a commitment to compliance.• Participating member of various senior leadership committees, including those related to exchange listings (e.g., adding/removing digital assets from the platform) and product offerings, such as staking and lending.• Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to address enterprise risk and ensure legal, regulatory, and data protection controls are in place to prevent fraud or other unlawful activities, as well as support compliance across various state and federal regulations (e.g., to comply with state MTL requirements, privacy regulations, HR training and awareness requirements, etc.)• Overseeing the organization's cross-functional BSA/AML Risk Committee, which reviews and approves risk ratings and appetite, related thresholds and alerting, and risk remediation plans. • Overseeing the organization's annual BSA/AML internal risk assessment, external audit, QA processes, and any related remediation efforts arising from the results of these efforts.• Overseeing the organization's BSA/AML Compliance Program, which includes governance, training and awareness, risk modeling and methodologies, and its core functions: - FIU: investigations, transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting (e.g., SARs) - KYC: CIP for Retail and Institutional Customers supported by baseline and enhanced due diligence standards, Customer Risk Ratings, screenings (PEP and negative news), EDRs/periodic monitoring - Sanctions: screenings for global watchlists and OFAC reporting
