My name is Lesley Sackey and I am a former boxer who has represented the country (GB) on many occasions and previous ABAE (Amateur Boxing Association of England) champion. I was the first female to win Gold in the EU championships on first entry and was part of the first ever British olympic selection camp.I was one of 5 female athletes to feature in Last Women Standing. A BBC endurance series celebrating the toughest female athletes.My journey into boxing was not a typical one. I wasn't very good at sports at school and yet I managed to achieve so much in such a short space of time and get to elite levels, This motivated me to share that if it was possible for me it is possible for others. And so began my journey out of boxing and into personal development and social impact. Through my own journey out of domestic abuse I understood the powerful vehicle that boxing has offered and have since been using it to champion change and transformation not just on an individual basis but on a wider scale.I deliver workshops and Keynotes focusing on "Championing women to Thrive". Creating challenging and impactful programmes to deliver in companies to support female employees. Clients include: Google, National Geographic, ITV, Barclays and Standard Chartered.Founder of Fight Forward A not for profit that uses boxing as a tool to support women out of domestic abuse. We do this through events, workshops and positive impactful messaging. Our mission is to equip 100,000 to Fight Forward after domestic abuse.The Fight Back ClubPart of delivering this mission is the pioneering Fight Back Initiative which received Channel 4 news coverage.
