I am passionate about human rights, education against racism and prejudice and Holocaust Education. ~To further this I am a founding member of the Holocaust Education charity, Generation2Generation (G2G) which recruits and trains the descendants of Holocaust survivors to tell their families' stories and to promote tolerance. Among my responsibilities is arranging for our speakers to deliver their high quality, age appropriate and engaging presentations in schools, universities, religious and civic organisations. Our website is www.generation2generation.org.uk and we are always interested in finding booking opportunities for our speakers and therefore ensuring that the Holocaust is not forgotten or denied and that lessons of tolerance are learned. I befriend a young refugee who came to this country as a result of being trafficked from Ethiopia when she was 10 and was involved in persuading my local council to allow in 50 Syrian refugees and I coordinated a team of volunteers to support them during their first couple of years in this country.I am co-founder of the Remembering Eleanor Rathbone Group and regularly give talks about MPs who spoke out on behalf of Jews and socialists from Nazi Europe during the 1930s and 1940s.
