Starting work at 14, I have found myself in a variety of different settings and sectors, from working in Hospitality, Conferencing and Events; Administration and Marketing; Direct Sales and Managerial, Education and how Health. My goal in life was to become an influential character in the field of Educational Psychology, particularly with children, in aiding in shedding a positive light on the way SEN Children are seen in the society as well as improving their general quality of life. This would not only focus on children in the school environment but also in the home.In my current position as Senior Mental Health Practitioner, I am able to do that and more. Working within the field of SEMH and SEN, with a focus on improving health inequalities in Bradford; a city at the top of the Deprivation Index. I have first hand experience of working with children, young people and their families, supporting direct access to mental health support and services. I offer Low Intensity CBT Therapy for children and young people aged 7-18. With this comes the ability to offer family support through use of signposting to VCS and NHS organisations. The goal: to improve whole systems mental and physical health and wellbeing, increase access to services and improve short and long term health outcomes.
