• Provide leadership to a comprehensive research-based youth development educational program for Tattnall County youth, grades 4 -13 (one year out of high school). • Assess local county needs to design, implement and evaluate relevant youth development programs, including those that support a strong 4-H base. • Collaborate with community agencies and organizations, develop strategies and maximize effectiveness of culturally relevant educational programs utilizing a variety of delivery modes. • Responsible for the recruitment, screening, training, supervision and evaluation of volunteers; program marketing and public relations; supervision of paid staff; securing grants, contracts, and other alternate funding streams to expand/enhance educational programs; and creation and support of needs-based programs that target underserved audiences. • Work with community-based organizations and stakeholder-based committees to effectively link Extension and family sciences, agriculture and natural resources along with youth programming.• Develop interpersonal communication skills. Ability to address changing technology to serve clientele.• Ability to plan and evaluate programs for youth and adults working with youth, consistent with Cooperative Extension Land Grant University of Georgia goals and objectives.• Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating an effective outcome-based program that supports identified issues in Tattnall County.• Responsible for effectively reporting, marketing, and interpreting results of programming efforts• Collaborate with local community members, partner organizations and Extension faculty to develop and implement educational programs that assure equal access for all citizens.• Utilize a variety of educational strategies to implement educational programming. Examples include informal classes, presentations, media, volunteers, demonstrations, experiential learning, distance learning and group facilitation.

• Assisted the Extension 4-H Agent by enhancing the 4-H program through multiple delivery methods and audiences.• Helped coordinate various 4-H events and activities, including (but not limited to) 4-H Club Day, Fairs, Achievement Celebrations, and Project Workshops.• Assisted with the management of 4-H Volunteers, including oversight of the Volunteers Screening Process, and Leader Trainings and Updates.• Used already developed lesson plans along with creation of lesson plans, lead activities for youth such as monthly Club Monthly Meetings, Day Camps, School Enrichment, Afterschool and other educational programs.• Communicated the value of the Toombs County 4-H program through the monthly 4-H Newsletter, social media and other methods.• Participated in District and State 4-H youth development program training sessions and updates to remain current in youth development research, 4-H programming, risk management, delivery methods and program policies. • Attended local, district, and state program activities and events in the place of the County Extension Agent • Assisted the County Extension Agent by researching and providing information requested by clients.
