I am a connector and promoter for dozens of youth and adult programs that help people think and act like entrepreneurs. I am trained as a facilitator for the Ice House entrepreneur mindset and strategy course, as well as the Kauffman FastTrac course. They work well in that sequence, for startup entrepreneurs who want structure and peer support. I work with public, private and nonprofit partners who put on multi-week programs for their aspiring local business owners. In any community project I help expand and focus the leadership team to get a full view of what is working well there now. I help groups receive mindset inspiration from a wide range of human underdogs through Ice House materials. I also integrate leadership tools and strategies such as Visual Explorer(TM), NCREAL.com, Tilt365.com, Roger Schwarz. I

Customized small business research, strategy, grant-writing, coaching, and workshops related to place-based economic development and entrepreneurship. Recent projects include: FastTrac course online, Ice House facilitation in GA and NC, ecosystem maps for your region; an experiential curriculum for high school entrepreneurship; market research for growth firms; entrepreneur ecosystem assessment and inclusive development; young adult entrepreneurship and community engagement; local/regional strategic planning; forming networks of entrepreneurs and business ecosystem partners.

Designed programs and directed coaching projects that helped over 1,000 unemployed workers or young adults get started in rural communities. Led a team under $2 million of Kellogg Foundation funding to coordinate the business service delivery system from 2005-08. Started a statewide collaborative of 500 people called the Business Resource Alliance that still meets quarterly.
