Leslie has over thirty years of experience in the field of psychotherapy. She graduated Magna cum Laude with a BS degree, in Child Development/Family Studies from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo; and earned her MA degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Santa Barbara.Prior to starting her private practice in Pleasanton, Leslie had a broad range of experience, having worked in group homes for physically and emotionally challenged, public school system as a behavior specialist, and as an intern in child abuse agencies and eating disorder clinics. She was the CEO of VERtx a virtual reality company that's idea and funding were before its time.She has gone on to develop expertise in integrating technology into psychotherapy and has lectured, written, and published on this topic. She served as an ambassador for Thera, Inc. testing HIPPA-compliant VR products conducting psychotherapy in VR, and providing user feedback and input for design and user interface.Leslie was Lead Area Chair in the College of Social Sciences at the University of Phoenix and for 8 years has taught undergraduate and graduate-level psychology for 25 years. Leslie is a Certified Suicide Bereavement Clinician. She is a Certified Gottman Therapist and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor.
