Lead Faculty: o The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business (MGT320): An introduction to the legal influences upon and within businesses, including statutory, executive, administrative, and court law. Included are the roles and influences of contracts and regulations upon business operations.o Capstone – Business Policy Development and Implementation (MGT481): This course focuses on analysis of the roles and responsibilities of leaders in developing strategy, governance, and operational policies within the corporate environment. Topic areas include how corporate strategy, mission, vision, and values influences policy development, innovation, and implementation.o International Law (MIM 560): This course addresses the factors that affect international business and business expansion. Discussion topics include legal, demographics, economic, political, natural, resource, technology, and cultural characteristic and the role they play in the advancement of multinational enterprises.o Technology Management in the Global Economy (MIM530): The course addresses the process of managing technology in the global business environment. Students explore and apply systems that are utilized to facilitate competitive advantage in the goal marketplace including voice, video, and data applications. Additionally, focus includes management of the financial and competitive use of technology for market expansion.

Emphasis is placed on contracts, negotiable instruments, Uniform Commercial Code, and the working of the court systems. Upon completion, students should be able to apply ethical issues and laws covered to selected business decision-making situations.o Legal Operations in International Business (MGM 366 online): This course provides a review of the legal operations in global business environments. Instruction on comparative analysis of the legal principles, issues, conventions, and competitive influences affecting activities conducted by the U.S. Businesses in global business environments and by foreign enterprises when operating within the United States. Overview of the structure and organization of foreign legal systems, international trade agreements, associations, regulatory agencies, international dispute resolution mechanisms as applied by the international Court of Justice, the European Union, and various arbitral organizations.o Taxation and Business Decisions (ACCT 618 online): This course covers the relationship between managerial decision-making and taxes. Students explore the taxation of different types of business entities and the individuals involved with the entities. Emphasizes the impact of tax considerations in business decisions such as compensation, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Professor of Business Education/ Director of the CO-OP Program o Instruction of Business Computer Applications (BCIS-1305):  This course introduces computer terminology, hardware, software, operating systems, and information systems relating to the business environment. The main focus of this course is on business applications of software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics, and business-oriented utilization of the Internet. o Instruction of Business Communications (BUSI-2304) and (BUSI-1304):  A practical course designed to help students communicate effectively in writing. It provides training in English usage, punctuation, spelling, sentence and paragraph structure, proofreading, editing, vocabulary, capitalization, and other mechanics of writing. o Instruction of Business Law (BUSI-2304):  Principles of law, which form the legal framework for business activity. Introduction to the legal environment. Subject areas include torts, contracts, Uniform Commercial Code, sales, commercial paper, bailment, agency and the American legal system. o Instruction of Records & Information Management (POFT-1319):  Introduction to basic records and information management. Includes the life cycle of a record, manual and electronic records management, and basic filing procedures and rules.Awards/Activities: International Festival participant representing Italy at College of the Mainland, spring 2011. Nominated Professor of the Year at the College of the Mainland for the 2010-2011 academic year. Instructional Technology Committee member at the College of the Mainland.
