-Manage all aspects of environmental compliance, environmental permitting, and other state and local permitting for a subset of wind and solar development projects in TWE's portfolio with primary focus in Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas-Manage environmental consultants for renewable portfolio, including schedule and budget tracking, report reviews, survey protocol and logistics, and preparation for agency meetings. Environmental survey management includes bat acoustic monitoring, eagle/raptor/avian use, raptor nest, wetland delineations, cultural resource surveys, T&E species, Phase I ESAs, agency documents such as BBCS and BBRAs, etc.-Due diligence with early stage development projects -Manage environmental and permitting budgets-Coordinate with federal, state and local agencies-Represent company at community hearings-Manage FAA permitting, DoD airspace concerns, and radar interference concerns for all wind and solar projects in development stage, including coordination with FAA, DoD, NWS and NTIA-Participate in industry groups such as AWEA and EWAC

-Manage environmental components of the development, construction and operation of wind projects in Colorado including:*compliance with USFWS Wind Energy Guidelines (Tiers 1-5)*writing BBCS*regular consultation with USFWS, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and local counties*avoidance of threatened and endangered species (ESA, BGEPA, and state listed species) including SPUT permit application*compliance with SHPO including cultural resources survey report reviews and Unanticipated Discovery Plan*compliance with Clean Water Act/Section 404 - wetlands delineations and avoidance (review of reports as well as independent field reviews)*compliance with SPCC; review of plans and conducting inspections of field equipment*compliance with stormwater regulations; regular inspections of construction BMPs and review of SWMP and permit*review of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments*conduct environmental awareness training for construction staff *regular field reviews for general compliance during construction phase*creation of online bird fatality reporting form for operational staff to match SPUT reporting requirements*other permitting where needed (ex. stormwater mine permit and state mine permit for sand and gravel extraction)Other Duties:-Participate in greenhouse gas reporting for EPA's Mandatory Reporting Rule, The Climate Registry, and corporate reporting for all of Xcel's operating regions-Use Essential Suite and Business Objects to manage environmental data and create reports-Participate in spill reporting and response
