Leslie Glustrom is trained as a biochemist and is currently conducting research on protein-nucleic acid interactions. In addition, Leslie has a long career as an activist working on an array of issues from livestock grazing on the public lands to climate change and clean energy. She is a founding member of Clean Energy Action based in Boulder, Colorado and has helped build the climate and clean energy movement in Colorado and several other states. She has been a formal intervenor and citizen participant at the Colorado Public Utilities Commission and has written several reports on the US coal industry and topics related to climate change and accelerating the transition to the post-fossil fuel era. She has spoken throughout Colorado and the country on the role of citizens in addressing climate change and decarbonizing our economy.
