Fan and Compressor Module Leader – Team leader with overall ownership of fan and compressor module hardware and assemblies for new products and mature engine lines. Includes estimating engineering hours, planning and tracking all component level design activities. Leading Failure Mode and Effect Analysis for new products and Root Cause Analysis for existing hardware issues.System Integration – Ensures robust integration of the engine modules and assemblies with the air frame, requires communicating and supporting customers. Project Management – Works with program management, global supply chain and sales team to identify critical product development needs, present project goals and plan. Establish and track schedule and cost, set tollgates and design review requirements, provide regular progress reports and drive project to completion.Process Improvements – Creates and analyzes design and documentation processes, advances new procedures by presenting and discussing impact with cross functional teams who may be affected.. Attains concept buy-in and time commitment from upper management to accomplish goals. Tracks implementation and progress with various metrics, reports, and tools. Design – Creates and analyzes mechanical design options, advances designs through all phases of development from conceptual design to production. Provides detail mechanical design for systems and components subjected to high temperatures, extreme pressures, and vibrations.Quality – Works with manufacturing and vendors to ensure product quality, cost, and schedule commitments. Supports manufacturing to resolve non-conformance issues; assists with outside vendor ISO qualification; performs Root Cause Analysis on component failures.
