I am passionate about the place we live, where we call home and how we interconnect with the water, land, air and inhabitants of this planet - people, plants, animals, soil, rocks and trees. I am passionate about caring for these places, nurturing the interconnections among us all and fostering a compassionate, sustainable relationship among ourselves and the earth. My calling is compassionate activism for the earth and its inhabitants. My past work involved the study of things left behind by humans, deciphering the life ways of those that lived before us, via the artifacts they left behind for us to find. My next career involved working to protect the water and land of the Shenandoah Valley and as executive director of Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, I worked to cultivate relationships between residents and the life sustaining river flowing through their backyards. I am currently working as the Executive Director of the National Environmental Health, Science and Protection Council (EHAC). EHAC accredits STEM based Environmental Health academic programs that provide academically rigorous, hands on and practice based educations. EHAC students and graduates are passionate about their studies and work and it is a constant privilege to work with these future protectors of public health.
