In my role at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) I am responsible for raising over $1 million in private and corporate foundation grants to fund the organization's programs and general operations. I am also the primary researcher on MCN's Minnesota Grants Directory and edit a bi-monthly e-newsletter on fundraising opportunities for nonprofits. In addition, part of my role includes fundraising education and in this capacity I teach a grantwriting clinic several times a year, two webinars on fundraising topics and present research on foundations at MCN's Minnesota Foundations Workshop to an audience of over 300.

Worked with residents and neighborhood service providers to develop and provide programs in the arts, environment, crime and safety and human service/your programs to people in the community. In this capacity, I raised over $500,000 annually through grants to foundations, corporations and government sources to support these efforts.

Worked with graduate assistants at the University of Minnesota to organize a union. Provided hands-on training and coaching to build the capacity of graduate assistants as organizers.
