Leslie Schmidt currently serves as President for Tuxedo Distributors. Before being named as President , Leslie was Tuxedo’s Controller. She is a Certified Public Accountant with a degree in accounting. Before joining Tuxedo, she served as Controller and CFO for several large companies. Serving in various Finance and Operational roles, she has had a consistent track record of helping companies implement their strategic vision while maintaining financial integrity.Prior to joining Tuxedo, Leslie spent ten years as the CFO of FEMO Group – a group of ten different companies including a service corporation, a franchise company, and a manufacturing company. She was responsible for the financial health of the company in addition to overseeing the operational side. For each of the entities this Included the day-to-day operations, audits, inventory control, vendor relationship, procurement, cash flow, banking relationships, payroll/HR and all tax filings. Leslie also spent four years with Omnicom, the parent company of Tracy Locke and DDB Needham advertising agencies in the Controller/CFO roles. She worked with advertising executives to bring their vision to life while ensuring that clients/projects were profitable and stayed on budget. Liaison to the President and the corporate office of this publicly traded Fortune 500 company. In her spare time, Leslie serves as Chairman of the Board of International Literacy and Development, a non-profit community development company. She also serves as cheerleader, coordinator, cook, tutor, maid and much more for her three teenage children.
