Screening newborn infants hearing prior to their discharge from the hospital with a DPOAE and/or AABR, and referring them for further testing as necessary.

Pre-School Speech and Language (temporary contract)

SAM Aphasia Program Running communication groups for adults with Aphasia. Assisting them in making connections and practicing their communication skills in a group setting.

Under the supervision of 2 Speech-Language Pathologists I planned and implemented therapy sessions with adults on an in-patient stroke and neurogenic rehabilitation unit. Working with patients who have varying types and degrees of Aphasia, Apraxia, and Dysarthria.

Traveling around to various elementary schools within the Halton Region, I gained experience screening children's hearing from JK/SK up to Grade 8. We screened their hearing using an iPad App Shoebox PureTone Audiometry and easyTymp Tympanometry machines. Based on the results the children were either passed, or referred on to their general physician for a follow up.
