I worked at the at the Penitentiary for only three months. It was inbetween my two Jobs in the Geriatric field. I'm going to be honest here, going from that field to Death Row inmates was a little to much. I worked in the Trauma area, gave out medication to the general population and Death row.I felt this is where I was not needed and went back to my old Job. I wanted to get my feet wet in a new direction. However that direction was not cut out for me..........

I began my medical career as a CNA working the 3-11 shift. I returned to school while working and obtained my LPN license; After working as a LPN for five years I bridged over and and became a RN after passing state boards. I was in charge of 45 Residents and 8 CNA's. I changed Feeding tubes, performed wound care and monitored at risk residents blood sugar.I became a charge Nurse the rest of my career. I enjoyed spending time with my Residents so decided to stay a floor Nurse. I admitted new Residents and met there family members.I always had a lot going on. The night always went by fast and I loved my job. I feel I always gave my best Nursing care and Love.
