Stayed ahead of the rapidly changing technological landscape and led the coordination with Underwriters Laboratory and the Los Angeles electrical testing laboratory to obtain time-sensitive approval for the use of 1,000-volt PV wire on the 5.1 MW DC single-rooftop system – the largest in the county at the time. Managed project design and coordination of large-scale commercial projects up to 1 to 5MW, and high-end residential projects and numerous high-profile clients, ensuring quality, and timeliness of documentation and delivery.

A key player in scaling up rooftop solar PV in Los Angeles by paving the way to a better understanding among the utility companies and regulatory agencies in Los Angeles. I was able to establish relationships with regulatory authorities and stakeholders such as the senior electrical and structural engineers for the city’s building department, representatives from the LADWP, and especially Chiefs and Captains from both the city and county fire departments. I was able to open the mission-critical lines of communication for more timely and reliable permitting procedures. Cultivating great relationships and communication with the installation crews at the branch and together we were recognized two years in a row as “Branch of the Year” for the number of installations and profitability company wide.
