About Leslie Armell

Leslie Armell is a Building Relationships, Driving Strategy at The University of New Mexico Foundation, Inc.. They possess expertise in event planning, fundraising, event management, volunteer management, non profits and 13 more skills. Colleagues describe them as "Leslie Armell is without a doubt, one of the most polished and professional graduate students I have ever supervised in my entire career. Leslie came to us for a summer graduate assistantship and served in the role of the assistant program coordinator of the Muscat Scholars Program. Leslie took on many tasks and completed them effortlessly. I challenged her to take on the technology component of the position: creating and editing video as well as posting them on social media outlets, developing an app that allowed parents and students to know our program, and managing online communications with students. She was able to learn new systems quickly and develop her creative skills. This alone is daunting for even digital natives, but she picked it up quickly and ran with it. Leslie's ability to teach was also evident as she led workshops, facilitate discussions, and guide our incoming students as they transitioned to USF. She stepped up to manage day to day operations when the program coordinator was off-site. Leslie is a natural leader in every sense of the word. When it came to understanding the wants and needs of first generation college students, Leslie was not only well-prepared for the work, but she contributed to the well-being and thriving of the students in her care. Managing over 50 students is not easy for many professional staff, but here she was doing just fine. She is in her element. I have no doubts that Leslie will bring value to any organization that is fortunate to hire her. She is someone who can pick things up quickly, but knows exactly when to ask questions. Every time she asked, I knew the project would be not only done, it would be done above and beyond expectation. Leslie gets my highest recommendation and is one of the top 5 graduate students I have ever worked with in my 19 year career in higher education."

Listed skills include Event Planning, Fundraising, Event Management, Volunteer Management, and 14 others.
