I am a senior project architect / manager with thirty four years experience across a broad base of projects. With experience working in the construction industry, I also have a sound grounding in the practical considerations and have a very good understanding of construction issues. I am very experienced in design development, the preparation of production drawings and administration of contracts.I spent 11 years in the UK and have worked in a Client Monitoring, Project architect/manager and design manager for Carillion PLC on the Olympic Site. Since 2011 I have run my own design practice in conjunction with being the Primary Carer for our son. The practice was predominantly domestic design.In the preceding 2 years to arriving in the UK, I was responsible for the replanning and design management for the re-development of the Westfield Riccarton shopping mall in Christchurch NZ for Westfield NZ.Prior to this I was with Hames Sharley and was responsible for the management and development of a number of staff, including graduate architects and technical staff in addition to the senior architect role. I was jointly responsible for office administration, all matters relating to the physical operation of the office, human resources, chairing weekly staff meetings, and the preparation of submissions / proposals. As part of the senior management team, I lead projects and provided strategic advice and recommendations to the Hames Sharley Directors.
