Her exposure to design and planning at various scales – from site design to master planning of neighborhoods and communities – has helped develop a unique perspective gained from experience in both architecture and urban planning. Over the past several years, Leslie has gained valuable wisdom from professional internships and scholarly research. The knowledge Leslie has obtained through her extensive education combined with her unique perspective gained in both architecture and urban planning give her a unique point of view that few possess.As a planner, Leslie’s work included site feasibility studies, land use analysis, zoning analysis, master planning, corridor studies, urban redevelopment, urban design, and plan implementation strategies as she continuously balanced the physicality of the land with economic, social, and environmental concerns, conditions, and factors through her day-to-day work as a professional planner.

Designed graphics and layout, managed graphics team, and assisted in communication with printing company for biannual award-winning publication for Columbia University’s Urban Planning Program and disseminated to current students, faculty, and alumni.

Collaborated during various phases of design process from conceptual design and schematic layout to the generation of construction documents for projects ranging from small restaurants, retail, daycares, and senior care facilities. Tasks included spatial layouts, site planning, construction details, and development of design standards for clients. Responsible for training new interns and employees.
