Utilizing Primavera P6 Project Management, Mrs. Clayton develops resource-loaded schedules, tracks progress and reports performance to clients. She oversees cost and earned value reporting while remaining in constant communication with Project Managers. Mrs. Clayton also monitors workloads of each employee in order to better prepare Business Developers.

In Vancouver, BC, Mrs. Clayton was the Project Controls Manager on BC Hydro’s $1 billion Mica Generating Station project responsible for directing schedulers and project techs, implementing Earned Value, and ensuring process standardization. When in New Orleans, Mrs. Clayton created the schedule for the SSERP using Primavera 6 (P6), version 7 and monitored both schedule and budget progress for the ongoing design and construction projects. In addition, she used an access database called SSERP Information Network (SIN). MWH developed SIN as a tool to assist with data sharing and management. Using P6 and SIN, Mrs. Clayton produced reports to communicate schedule and budget data to the client, ensuring that they were provided with the most recent project data. Mrs. Clayton established 33% and 66% milestones to be submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Once these milestones were achieved, Mrs. Clayton assisted the S&WB with Modified Consent Decree (MCD) compliance notifications to the EPA. Mrs. Clayton was responsible for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly progress reports on all contracts, including cash flows, website updates, and grant funding. Furthermore, Mrs. Clayton performed community service projects in the New Orleans area on a regular basis and gave presentations on engineering and climate change commitment to middle and high school students in Orleans Parish and Jefferson Parish. Mrs. Clayton helped organize a sustainability workshop sponsored by MWH that was very well respected by the New Orleans community.

Mrs. Clayton has been employed at the Intralox manufacturing facility, responsible for analyzing operations to increase efficiencies by optimizing labor through time studies. She performed facility upgrades to improve plant layout. Mrs. Clayton was also responsible for continuous improvement, labor standard development, proper work flow procedures, and color variation solutions. While at Intralox, she studied color theory, ergonomic design, job aids, setup reduction, total productive maintenance and attended Paulson School of Molding.

Mrs. Clayton has worked in the Integrate and Deliver Phases of ship building, performing progress audits, data collection, earned value management, and labor rate establishments for hull and superstructure aspects of naval combatant ships, specifically landing platform docks (LPDs). She was involved in scheduling and manning plans for shipyard coordination. Mrs. Clayton received a green belt in Six Sigma and performed a project to increase efficiencies in the pipe division of ship construction.
