As the VP of the Oklahoma southwestern district, I attend board meetings, design Oklahoma's competition shirts and trading pins, and judge two regional and one state competition every year. I love working with kids and high school students to help increase creativity in Oklahoma's youth.Competitions occur in the spring in three different locations: Lakeview Elementary School (South Regionals), Owasso 7th Grade Learning Center (North Regionals), and Oklahoma State University (State)

Going to a private liberal arts school has allowed me to study logic in various fields outside of my major. This has strengthened my ability to think for myself, broadened my overall education, and most importantly- taught me how to pick up new knowledge quickly. Having a general knowledge in different fields has also enhanced my creativity, leaving no boundaries when an idea comes to mind.

I absolutely love interning with this organization. I am learning the magic of networking, proper etiquette for writing artist bio's, and setting up for art events. This is truly an exciting time for Oklahoma City, as I attended a recent artists summit on how to increase tourism and strengthen our art culture with creative, cost effective ways for our city.

Lyric Theatre gave me the privilege of working with top actors of Oklahoma City, New York City, and Lyric Theatre's own academy actors. I took a trip to New York City with the academy and learned so much. I have worked 5 shows for Lyric, always considering make up for a career since.
