In spring of '17, Muermann Engineering consulted with Fredericksen Engineering for changeover to full HVAC design with FEI where I continued work in HVAC design of K-12 schools of Wisconsin.The design process was from schematic design through project closeout. Calculation, specifications, equipment selection, system design, submittals, and project close-out. HVAC drafting in Revit. Project management included working with owner and other discipline team members and contractors in design and throughout construction to meet budget and schedule, while providing owner design systems to meet their needs and goals for system type and efficiencies.

Having experience with HVAC and plumbing design, I was able to move between discipline work depending on company demands in work load. Design project included K-12 schools and small commercial facilities from schematic design through project closeout. While at ESI, I completed HVAC and Plumbing facility design of food distribution facilities across the U.S. Projects entailed travel for onsite review and development of design documents including specifications, calculations, equipment selections, design plans using Autocad, and project management.

Primary responsibilities include mechanical project managment of design teams, design managment, setting and coordinating company standards, M/P/FP design, and QC. Project work has included brewery cooling, ventilation and CO2 management Governmental work includes multiple chilled water and cooling tower phased design projects, industrial ventilation for an underground well pump room, and MRI cooling design. DOD projects involved a hangar conversion to a training center and building renovation to a medical office.

HVAC design-build and plan & specification projects where responsibilities included the system design, equipment selection, ACAD drafting, and specifications for HVAC systems including multi-discipline coordination, participation in project and design meetings, and specification writing. I had the pleasure to work with field personnel and other tradespersons for survey and implementation of design and project schedule.
