Directed the Human Resources function of Academy Mortgage. Developed effective human resource programs to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. Consulted with employees and managers regarding employee relations, performance management, employment law, policy and regulatory compliance, and employee development. Directed the ongoing activities of an eight-person team to efficiently and effectively deliver quality services to more than 1,800 employees in branch and department locations across 28 states. • Established a full-service, in-house Human Resources team. Finalized implementation of ADP HRIS platform and an online Form I-9/eVerify system; developed corporate policies relevant to a multi-state employment environment; revised HR processes and practices; integrated online personnel filing systems. • Developed and implemented a formal performance appraisal process including appraisal forms, job aids and leadership of corporate culture change. • Directed a project to write 300+ job descriptions as part of a project to create a company-wide compensation structure. Evaluated FLSA exemption status for all positions and assigned appropriate job grades to ensure market and internal equity. • Administered hiring processes through period of strong company growth (50% headcount increase in three years), while maintaining stellar, company-wide service levels. • Partnered with corporate training department to develop an interviewing workshop for Academy managers, teaching best practices and Academy processes for candidate interviewing and selection. • Developed a comprehensive HR self-audit program which involved reviewing different areas of HR responsibility.
