About Leslie Hinds

Experienced in all facets of testing from reviewing documentation, creating test plans, executing manual and automated tests, and finding and monitoring defects. Detailed defects were recorded using JIRA and Rational Concert Team (RTC). To automate testing, I have created Java and Selenium based scripts to verify the UI of SaaS apps. Tested in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.Always willing to learn new technologies and systems, I have been able to adapt to different software components and platform environments. The software I have tested includes enterprise management software Unicenter Network and Systems Management, event correlation and analysis tools such as Event Management, Event Integration and Advanced Event Correlation and CA Platform, a set of services that assist developers to move their on-premise application to a SaaS app. I have tested on Windows, Unix, Linux, and Amazon EC2 platforms. I have used problem solving skills to assess a possible defect and assisted developers to understand the defect so a solution can be found. The software products I've worked on involved multiple components that were tested by different QA engineers. I would work along side with them to resolve any system or overall software issues and make sure the product was completed on time.
