In this role, I helped to create a profitable business arm of the Marketing Department at the University I was attending. I was part of a small group of students, along with the marketing professor, who created this business. The focus of the business was to provide marketing research and helpful data to local businesses for a fee. My team created focus groups, surveys, observational studies, and presentations that were given to our customers. As it was a brand new initiative, we not only learned a lot about Marketing and various businesses, we also learned about how to get a business started.
