I regularly ask the question, ‘Is this truly relevant?’, and thereby made something that is nothing more and nothing less than what I believe are the essentials of personal branding and professional development. I used skills and knowledge gleaned and earned from years as an entrepreneur and small business consultant across industries to create content that is actually applicable, accessible, inclusive, and FUN and something I wish I’d had access to myself 15 years ago.

I hear a kernel of an idea and immediately see how to build it out, high-level. I’m most proud of the what truly matters canvas™, a one-page worksheet I developed to help my clients identify points of traction to execute their action plans.

My winning-est win as CEO was helping each person on the team be in the seat where they could make their highest contribution. I prioritized systems, systems checks and feedback through the company launch and beta program, which improved internal efficiencies and translated into better learning outcomes for our student body.

What began as a 'better coding bootcamp' became a Skills School & Personal Development Company start-up where we taught technical, professional and soft skills in a whole-person way.

We were our own General Contractors during one of the worst times in recent history to build a house...long story short, we ended up doing most trades ourselves and I worked full time on our house, teaching myself a LOT of trades and skills in the process. It was a fantastic journey that I hope to never repeat, but the end came, and I get to live in a house that I built myself.

Opening and operating a successful business that became a hub of activity for my community was incredibly rewarding. I was able to train 6 students to their first degree Black Belt during my 5 years at Cache Karate and work with countless others. I LOVE teaching, and working with students every day was the highlight of this chapter of my life.
