Secured CFRE, December 2015. Fundraising is an exciting field and working with nonprofit organizations is rewarding. The passion people bring to what they care about is infectious. It has been an honor to be able to help my hometown historic theatre, The Murphy Theatre. Growing up in Wilmington in the 70s, everyone went to The Murphy to catch the latest movie. Many Saturday mornings were spent there..Lemon Heads, Hot Tamales and fresh popped popcorn...nothing better. The stories people share are priceless. The Murphy is priceless. It is a stunning piece of architecture placed in farming country. Who would have thought? Charlie Murphy had the vision, he just didn't leave an endowment...that is where I entered the picture. Come for a visit, take a tour, see a show...we might even get lucky and see the ghost! With over 24 years as an event producer and fundraiser I transitioned to the nonprofit sector about 15 years ago. I am passionate about the organizations that I work with and the results reflect that. I had the good fortune to help open the Central Riverfront during Cincinnati's Bicentennial in 1988. Through that experience, I worked with many nonprofit organizations in Cincinnati helping them achieve event success through program development. I produced Riverfest for five years as well as Kids' Fest, P&G Concert Series, All-American Birthday Party an many, many more. I specialize in corporate sponsorships. During my major child raising years, I took on project work and sat on nonprofit boards. I produced the Tour de Loveland Bike Race as well as coordinated the Loveland Concerts in the Park. I helped create and implement the Cincinnati Reds program Reds Rookie Success League, co-creating the curriculum that is in use today. Strengths are in Donor cultivation, retention and stewardship as well as board and volunteer relations. Other areas of expertise include corporate sponsorships, event production, marketing and volunteer management.
