I am an English and editing/professional writing graduate and Brigham Young University–Idaho alumna with transcription, copyediting, and administrative experience, in addition to a personable and friendly demeanor gained from nearly five years working in the customer service industry. I'm familiar with and comfortable using both major computer operating systems and understand the fundamentals of HTML, web and graphic design as well as SEO. My career trajectory began with simple college jobs—the latter of which did provide me with the skills that launched me into full-time employment. I had originally sought out (and continue to express interest in) content creation, copywriting, web development, and graphic design; however, following the completion of my undergraduate program, I began working in outpatient hospital administration. Given my employment history, I consider myself highly organized, proactive, analytical, versatile, creative both in expression and problem-solving, and teamwork-oriented. While I received my Bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in creative and professional writing as well as communications, I am constantly seeking new learning opportunities and methods of incorporating my skills into the workforce.Currently, as a front office medical coordinator, I assist with administrative (non-clinical) outpatient care. This includes scheduling, face-to-face patient care, incoming and outgoing referral coordination, HIPAA-compliant handling of patient records, and thorough documentation of all patient encounters, including in-person, virtual, and telephone visits. As an employee of Carson Tahoe Medical Group, I am in constant communication with not only our office staff, but with staff in other outpatient specialty clinics, including but not limited to cardiology, rheumatology, neurosurgery, urology, endocrinology, and oncology. Currently, I support five full-time neurology providers, including MDs, APRNs, and PA-Cs.
