Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director and working with the HR Generalist, I’m the employee and potential employee liaison to Global Connections, Inc. and its companies. Employment includes full-time, part-time and contract labor, serving offices in Kansas, Florida and South Carolina, and resorts in California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii and Tennessee.As the first point of contact for new employees, I facilitate onboarding new employees and am instrumental in converting our paper process to digital with our vendor, Paycor, learning the processes and setting up the account. Coordinate training for employees and answer time and attendance questionsTake every opportunity to research employment laws in the states we have offices and resorts by webinar and other online sources.Survey all employees and implemented measurable goals to reduce turnover, while taking the initiative to use the feedback to improve process and communication with offices, especially those out of state.Organize company wide events both internally in Kansas and for outside offices. These include Employee Appreciation Week, holiday parties, and the Committee of Awesomeness. Includes coordinating Executive Team schedules, renting space, choosing menus or coordinating catering, working with Creative for menus, invitations and signage and choosing and ordering gifts within budget. Also coordinate annual Toys for Tots, Harvesters and Uplift drives.Implemented the organized health initiatives for the companies when I was hired. Today that includes three 5Ks a year, annual water challenge, flu shots, blood drives and biometric screenings. I coordinate with outside suppliers and insurance providers both in Kansas outside locations.Coordinate all employee communications, writing copy for emails and working with our internal Creative Department for graphics and signage. I’m on the newsletter committee, meeting monthly with the editorial staff for content and writing articles.

I’m the sole editor and writer for the internal employee newsletter, sourcing articles and interviewing subjects for features from employee spotlights to Q and As to press highlights.Monitor the franchise TITLE Boxing Club twitter accounts to find tweets of the month. Inspirational quotes with the hashtag #hitithard.Also responsible for monitoring and sharing internal employee milestones from baby showers, celebrations and employment anniversaries. Responsible for facilitating HR assistance and guidance to supervisors/managers and employees.
