Throughout my career, I managed optimal inventory levels and resolved complex issues across a diverse landscape, including overseeing nine warehouses, collaborating with over 90 vendors, and coordinating with multiple carriers. My responsibilities encompassed all facets of procurement, amounting to a substantial $130M spend in North America, covering both the US and Canada.One of my standout achievements in this role was consistently meeting stocking level requirements through rigorous fill rate analysis, inventory usage reviews, and proactive adjustments based on forecast changes. I reported directly to the President and led a team of seven skilled buyers. Together, we ensured that monthly stock rotations were executed flawlessly on $15M inventory. In addition, I monitored stocking levels and meticulously evaluated data to ensure that Inactive, Obsolete, and Surplus inventory remained well below allowance levels.A significant aspect of my role involved managing vendor relationships and data. I played a central role in orchestrating the creation of vendor price loads, End User Agreements, and all special vendor quotes within our system. Furthermore, I fostered strong collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. This included working closely with internal teams such as Sales, Sales Support, nine warehouses, Accounting, and Leadership. Building and maintaining these relationships was vital in delivering a seamless experience for our customers.One of the unique aspects of my role was managing a consignment program for key customers. I conducted quarterly evaluations and ensured bi-weekly fulfillment, strengthening our relationships with clients.Lastly, I took on a role as a key member of an Interdepartmental Team, where our goal was to enhance communication between departments. I served as a member of a transition team during our move from Herman to ADI Resideo software, addressing critical issues and ensuring a smooth transition.

In my role as Director of Purchasing, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the purchasing department, which encompassed a wide range of responsibilities.I identified and sourced components from technical drawings, utilizing my expertise to ensure the procurement of the right materials. I developed bills of material procedures to streamline procurement processes, resulting in improved efficiency. I implemented and scheduled annual blanket orders to optimize procurement planning and cost-effectiveness.Nurturing strong vendor relationships was a key part of my role, ensuring a collaborative and reliable supplier network. I effectively resolved vendor invoice problems, ensuring smooth transactions and timely payments. I collaborated closely with the product development team to source materials and bring new products to market, contributing to our innovation efforts.My responsibilities included end-of-month processing, forecasting, safety stock management, and ABC inventory analysis to ensure optimal inventory levels. I managed direct ship orders from initiation to invoicing, ensuring a seamless process and timely delivery to customers.Additionally, I had the privilege of supervising seven assistant buyers and providing extensive training to the purchasing team to enhance their skills and capabilities.During my tenure, the organization underwent a significant transition when it was acquired by a Fortune 500 company. I played a crucial role as a key member of the transitional team, ensuring a smooth integration process.I was also honored to be a key member of the first 'Cycle of Success' cross-functional team for the Continuous Improvement Program, actively contributing to process enhancements and operational excellence.Managing relationships with over 150 suppliers and overseeing a diverse portfolio of more than 25,000 items, I successfully managed a total procurement spend of $12 million.
