With a reputation as a problem-solver and serial achiever throughout his professional journey, Leslie honed his suite of adjacent and complementary business skills sets from exposure to a myriad of roles in Sales and Marketing, Business Development, Corporate Development, Quality Management, Service Operations Management and Event Operations; with several notable “First” that includes:- co-creating the world's iconic and commercially successful Cable Car Sky Dining in 1998 (https://www.mountfaberleisure.com/restaurant/cable-car-sky-dining/);- influenced the deployment of Singapore’s first web-based managed-healthcare portal, “FlexiClaims” in 2001 used by over 250 GPs and 450 corporations;- spearheaded a partnership with Australia’s Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) in piloting the highly successful world’s first online visa application portal, ‘E-Visa E-Health’ that incorporates Tele-radiology and Electronic Health Records in 2003 that was deployed globally subsequently.Over the last decade, Leslie reskilled and pivoted to Talent Development, developing proficiencies in courseware, curriculum, and assessment development for both academia and industry certifications under Singapore’s national Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Skills Framework; instructional design for synchronous, asynchronous, and blended learning modalities; training delivery and facilitation; programme administration, curation and programme management; conduct of learning/training needs analysis; integrating learning plan and strategies aligned to talent development framework. As a high-energy facilitator who is also DDI Certified, not only is Leslie able to keep learners constantly engaged for improved knowledge retention and skills transfer that is further strengthened by the safe learning environment created purposefully through his personable personality, he also lay claims to be in the company of a very limited pool of facilitators who is equally effective as an administrator.At one stage, Leslie was actively championing the Business Excellence (BE) movement where he facilitated bi-weekly sessions on the use of BPIR.com resource to organizations awarded with SPRING Singapore’s (now Enterprise Singapore) BE certifications such as the Singapore Quality Award.Recognized for his leadership traits, Leslie is invariably entrusted to lead teams and has held various management roles with private enterprises and public sector organizations in the Events, Tourism, Healthcare and Higher/Adult Education sectors.
