About Leslie Thomas

From a simple farm life in rural Saskatchewan all the way to the great Alberta Oilfield… and beyond! The earliest years of my life were spent growing up on a farm outside a rural community in Southeastern Saskatchewan. Working on the farm taught me the importance of understanding the task at hand, attention to detail, problem solving techniques, how to work alongside others, how to work long hours, and how important it is to find passion in your daily work. Life growing up gave me the foundation necessary to be successful in both education and the workplace. My passion for Engineering began at a young age. As a youth I was intrigued hearing the stories of different innovative projects in our society, but it was the stories of Engineering feats in the Oil and Gas industry that I dreamed to one day become a part of. The first major milestone of my industry career was the completion of my Bachelor’s degree in which I majored in Chemical Engineering with dual minors in Petroleum and Mineral Processing at the University of Saskatchewan.Today, I continue to work on the next career milestones as an Engineer-in-Training with a goal to grow and develop my skills and knowledge as an industry professional and become a key player in the success of projects I become involved with.
