While working for Michael McNamara and Mary Hyduk on a medical malpractice suit, I conducted legal research, analysis, and drafting of Statement of Facts in Response to Defendant's Motion for Summary Judgment and Response to Defendant's Motion for Summary Judgment. I also worked all aspects of the foregoing including, but not limited to, research for Plaintiff’s case, response to legal authority cited by Defendant, and record review for admissible supporting facts. In addition, I applied word processing skills in producing the final product for Arizona Superior Court’s determination.

During my time with Robert Half Legal, I was employed in several temporary positions with law firms as well as independent legal entities. For instance, I assisted a legal accountant with legal research, coding, and data entry for upcoming lawsuit. In addition, I performed various tasks for a small criminal law firm, including transcription of legal memoranda, calendaring events using Abacus, and document reviews.

As a Graduate Assistant, I assisted university students with class registration, withdrawals, class changes, transcript requests, and commencement proceedings. I also helped compile and organize data regarding student information for database entry. In addition, I assisted the Registrar with student updates, the university commencement proceedings, and creation of a university student survey.

As a Student Representative, I was responsible for coordinating and executing LexisNexis training sessions for law students as well as professors and staff. In addition, I communicated directly with the area account representative on various issues such as training, problem areas, and promotions.

As a Legal Intern for Ward & Smith Law Firm, I helped prepare legal documents including Interrogatories, Motion for Interpleader, Jury Instructions, and Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law. I prepared legal memoranda regarding a broad range of issues including insurance liability, change of beneficiary, statute of limitations, and premises liability. I helped create deposition questions for a law partner and consulted with witnesses prior to the depositions. I also conducted legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw. In addition, I observed the law partners during depositions, hearings, mediations, and appellate oral arguments.

As a Certified Trainer and Service Professional, I trained and supervised over 50 new employees. I was the first employee chosen as trainer in the new certification program. In addition, I participated in the Peer Review Board regarding employee grievances, supervised staff and assisted with communication between management and staff, and helped with scheduling and conflict resolution as needed.

As a Student Intern, I assisted attorneys and staff members with research, data collection, and trial preparation. I also supervised the creation of databases, organized offender information, and compiled data for a long-term Recidivism Study. In addition, I assisted the Program Manager and staff members in general office procedures.
