As Director of Development Operations at the National Urban League, I manage a team of two to provide operational and logistical support to the Partnerships and Advancement team at the National Urban League. As the Manager of Research in the Development Department of the National Urban League, I was responsible for all prospect research functions to support the Development Department's Individual, Foundation and Corporate portfolios.My duties included creating a prospect pipeline of potential donors by identifying, researching and qualifying prospects that can support the agency’s fundraising goals. In support of this function, I utilized databases several research tools, including Lexis Nexis, Wealth Engine, and the Foundation Center online, in addition to other periodicals, subscriptions, alerts and news tracking systems. My administrative responsibilities included creating new records and updating the Raiser’s Edge donor database to periodically update completed research and to ensure that contacts and relationships are current. I also worked closely with the Data Analysis Manager to compile fundraising reports and analysis through queries and reports from the Raiser’s Edge database.

As an Associate in the Housing and Community Development Department of the National Urban League, I supervised over thirty federally funded housing counseling programs providing housing counseling services across the country. Administrative duties included compiling quarterly progress reports for submission to the Department of Housing and Urban Manage Development (HUD), site visits to review counseling programs' compliance with HUD regulations, and providing technical assistance to housing counseling programs on HUD requirements and corrective action plans.
