• Limit losses and write offs on all items under dry goods control• Effectively control stock and verify by means of regular stock taking as per relevant corporate procedures• Apply good Dry goods management processes• Ensure compliance of Dry goods policies and procedures• Manage assets effectively • Manage and control budget• Investigate and declare variances• Apply correct stock take procedures• Apply FIFO principles• Maintain Service level agreements with customers and suppliers• Ensure Dry goods materials on Production line according to agreement• Timeous dispatch of orders to distributing plants• Timeous shipment of customer orders• Record keeping as per Secondary Corporate procedure• Safekeeping and correct filing of ICC’s• Completion of monthly ICC reports• Maintain stock take files• Filing of SAP documents per movement type• Complete and control time sheets, leave and overtime & submit for payment• Ensure compliance to the QMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC, IFS, HACCP, Organic, ISO 17025, SANS 1841, IPW if applicable)• Ensure subordinates adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, work instruction and SOPs at all times• Initiate and motivate changes required to QMS system• Accept the role of HACCP team member ( if required) • Accept the role of Food defence team member (if required)• Lead team according to Secondary Production Operating Principles to achieve line objectives – Quality; Speed and Cost.• Ensure a competent crew by training (on-the-job/formal training) and coaching members• Maintain a skills matrix to reflect competency level of the team and to initiate training requirements• Ensure employee relations are effectively managed in department• Performance management is applied effectively.• Plan daily manpower requirements and optimal utilisation of resources • Ensure compliance to OHSACT and all Distell Risk, Health and Safety procedures and statutory requirements.
