Scrum Master for the Lifecycle uplift program, introduced Scrum and Agile to the Infrastructure teams, and over an 18 month period remediated hundreds of Servers, Databases, and Applications

Manage the Datacentre and Database Teams that consist of 15 staff, covers 3 Datacentres, 200+ Communication rooms, and 500+ databases. In addition to this, we also look after over 3 petabytes of storage and a backup infrastructure that backs up over 200TB per day.

Managed a team of 10 staff that supported Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL databases, and SAP Basis.

I worked with Toll Priority to support their Oracle infrastructure for the Track and Trace system. After initially commencing with Toll as a contractor, I moved into a permanent position in mid August 2006.I have solely managed eleven production databases, ranging from Oracle version 7 to version 10g on both Unix and Windows platforms. All of these databases require 24x7 uptime to support the business.

I worked with Synergy Plus as a contractor providing Oracle and Unix expertise to both Synergy and its customers.The major project I was engaged in during this period was the Telstra iMode development project. The iMode project was the creation of 24x7 email access via Telstra mobile phone handsets.As the project Oracle DBA and Unix system administrator, I set up in excess of 15 databases for Telstra. Six of these databases were setup in a Dataguard™ environment, enabling maximum system uptime. The remainder of the databases were setup in a clustered environment under VCS.

I ran my own IT business, providing IT sales and service to small businesses.• Providing Windows NT, 2000, XP desktop support• Providing Windows Server support, backups and patching• Set up of Linux WEB and file servers (standard LAMP setup)• Providing networking support• IT hardware, software and networking procurement and sales

I worked with Siemens as a Systems Services Consultant. Siemens is a vendor that provides Oracle, Unix and Hardware support to customers. During my four years at Siemens I worked for a number of customers including the Department of Defence and Amcor.The equipment I predominantly worked on ran the Reliant UNIX Operating System, which is a SVR4 based OS. The hardware was a mixture of Pyramid and Siemens Nixdorf & Siemens equipment.I was engaged by the Department of Defence to setup and configure a new Oracle Database and Solaris Unix system for their Call Centre in Cooma (ACT).I was engaged by Amcor to join their Database Administration group when Siemens secured the Amcor IT outsourcing contract.

I provided QSP and their clients with Unix and Oracle expertise for both internal systems and for client systems. This ranged from the setup and installation of systems through to providing on going support.

Working in a team of four, the Oracle/Unix technical team supported 8 Large Pyramid Systems, 5 Sun systems, and 2 HP systems, in addition to approximately 30 Oracle Databases.
