Developing software mainly with Unity and C# for training solutions

Developing training curriculum for naval training in the RSN. Key competencies obtained and currently being honed include:- Systems thinking; introduced to and continuously honing this skillset to be aware of how certain actions or curriculum introductions affect the ecosystem - always looking to make positive impacts as much as possible- Scaffolding; setting a feasible (not too high of a level) yet effective training scaffold for the curriculum

Responsible for the Gunnery and Seamanship Department onboard a warship. Key competencies learnt were:- Stakeholder management; learnt on the need to sieve out key details from the leadership and then translating it to the team for effective actions- Prioritisation of works; learnt the need to prioritise on the work in a day instead of cramming all work in a day. Important skillset as this translates to team workload and morale management as wellWas off ship from Nov 2020 to Jun 2021 due to medical reasons

Junior Officer for two years that can be summarised in two parts: the 1st year focused towards taking charge of day-to-day operations as an Officer of the Day (OOD) onboard a warship, while the 2nd year focused on navigating or "driving" a warship. The key skillsets obtained were:- Time management and problem solving skills; to prioritise completion of key operations of a warship safely and efficiently in consideration of complications such as inclement weather, manpower shortage and system defects- Active listening to seek inputs from more experienced sailors and then making a more informed decision- Foresight to identify potential issues and flexibility to adjust a plan; Due to unpredictable and unforeseen circumstances e.g. another vessel altering their course and speed, valuable skills such as projecting ahead of time on whether this would pose a navigational concern and subsequently the need to adjust the plan accordingly

Midshipman at Officer Cadet School; attained fundamental competencies to lead small teams effectively with key ones such as:- Written and verbal communication skills to provide clear directions to ensure effective actions from the team- Time management to keep projects on schedule - Interpersonal skills to understand the needs of the leadership and team members
