CHOOOSE fed me for almost a year. They are a brilliant team of leaders who actually believe in what they are doing--and with good reason--it's making a measurable impact.

The LEAD Clean Energy Project was the wonderful opportunity Vision (Now "Ion") Solar gave to me and some of my friends to learn about the solar business. We went door to door in the Inland Empire area of California, made some good friends and learned more than we ever expected.

Philanthropy etymologically means "the love of love in the sense of caring for, nourishing, developing, or enhancing humanity in the sense of "what it is to be human," or "human potential."As a Program Leader with the Southwestern Advantage Program my role was to be a philanthropist as is described above. My "career" was to help people become aware of the amazing potential within them so they, too, could be philanthropists in whichever field they chose.During my last two years with the company, we launched an initiative to transform the recruiting and training process in order to solve "unsolvable" problems through advanced relationship building concepts and took participation in the initiative from concept to over 1,500 students on campuses in under two years.

If I don't feel like talking to someone on a plane, I tell them that I am a cult leader. Then I smile. And then I say, "No, really." And stop smiling.If I succinctly explain what I do, I tell people that I recruit college students to sell educational products door to door during their summer breaks.What I really do is help young people develop the skills and character they need to achieve their goals in life. I build people. In order to do that, my career looks like a mix of these things:Recruiter, coach, salesperson, mentor, counselor, motivational speaker, teacher, entrepreneur, crisis management expert, leader and friend.Worked with around 1,500 students directly who participated in the summer program, and it was the privilege of a lifetime.
