At Hermes I replaced a department of three individuals who previously managed real estate systems including Horizon and Argus Valuation Capitalisation. I introduced a programme to improve service levels and efficiencies, and encouraged greater involvement with the key users, namely managing agents and the Hermes Finance, Asset and Investment Managers and Operations departments. I also restructured the reporting suite and automated a key KPI report which previously consumed two working days to manually collate.

The role involved technical consultancy of Horizon (property management and accounting software) at numerous major property owning, occupying or investment organisations. These included large multi-phase national implementations, and smaller investor or residential management applications. Some of these have been in the UK and others have been wholly overseas in Europe, Middle East and South East Asia. The role involved bespoke enhancements, reporting requirements using Business Objects, Oracle and SSRS reports, training, business consultancy, data conversion, interfacing to third-party products and live implementation. My knowledge of the technical basis of Horizon proved valuable in more demanding technical environments where the infrastructure deviated from the norm, or where technical issues arose during the project. The implementations involved all areas of functionality within the Horizon property management system. I also designed Adobe Forms for integration into Horizon using Adobe Lifecycle Designer.

One of my major achievements was the upgrade from Notes 3.34 to Notes 4.0 of fifteen stores nationwide.
