Recruited as Property Development Manager to set up and lead Property and strategic FM planning department, reporting to and deputising for the Director of FM. (Built Estate 48,000 m2 on 20 sites valued then at £70m). Responsible for Estate & Facilities Management, estate strategy planning and co-ordination (including the Trust’s capital programme), management of customer relationships, development and maintenance of internal and external SLAs for FM services and providing strategic property advice. Also involved in space planning, project commissioning, churn, disabled access, way finding & traffic management, asset register, departmental IT and archiving. Following structural reorganisation appointed Head of Estates (Deputy Director of FM) to form and head new Estate Management department, encompassing all responsibilities above plus estate engineering & maintenance (direct and contract), energy & waste management, fire & security, outsourcing and contract management (staff: 42; budget: £2.85m).
