The best proof is that I've decided to change my career after 7 successful years in machine industry. Now I'm happy for new adventure in IT business. I've been able to prepare myself for new role without participating in any Bootcamp etc. simply by exploring materials available over the internet.My previous experience casued to exercise soft skills much above average IT tech guy. As a manager of service unit I cooperated closely with customers regardless their role - I had to train machine operators and the next day negotiate expensive service contracts with CTO or Maintenance managers.So if you look for a guy with X years of IT experiance - I'm pretty sure that even though I may be 0,5X time in the industry, I will satisfy your expectations 😉 Meanwhile I try my best to minimize the lack of technical skills anyway.
